My dh has been gone all summer for training. It has been a quiet, reflective summer but I am so very thankful to have him back!
As I mentioned earlier, I read Dearest Friend and much of the first part of the book discusses their time apart due to the work required for the building of our nation. She spent many months painfully waiting for letters…which made me thankful for speedier versions of communication.
I will give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with all heart,
And will glorify Your name forever.
For Your lovingkindness toward me is great,
And You have delievered my soul from the depths…
Psalm 86:12-13
And will glorify Your name forever.
For Your lovingkindness toward me is great,
And You have delievered my soul from the depths…

Although you are far, far away–I too love the speedier mode of communication (via video chat). I can’t imagine getting through life knowing that I can only see my girl twice, and maybe three times, a year without a cell or the Internet.
I too am quite thankful, my sweet.

Oh, how wonderful! I love the picture of his shoes.
Even though my Tim is a big mess, and makes my housekeeping life much more difficult, I sure would miss his messes – even the underwear in the bathroom! Read “A Two-Part Invention” by Madeline L’Engle. A wonderful book about marriage! Glad you’re reunited. xo C
